NAUI entry level scuba diving certification course. It provides the fundamental knowledge and skills to scuba dive. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training.
Prerequisites:
• Age - Minimum 15 years • Medical - Examination by approved Physician • Prior Training - Students who hold credentials from the NAUI Passport Diver Program (Resort Course) may, at the discretion of the instructor, be awarded credit for skills and knowledge acquired.
Course Requirements:
• 14 Hours Class • 17 Hours Practical Application (10 or more water hours) • 5 Open Water Dives (Both fresh and sea water)
Course Pricing:
1. The price of the course is R2200.00. 2. A deposit of R 1000.00 is payable upon booking. 3. The balance of the course fee, R 1200.00 is payable upon registration.

NB!: The Candidates are responsible for the cost of their own medical examinations, which need to be done before we begin Open Water Training. Candidates are also responsible for renting (Club) or purchasing their own skin diving gear (wetsuit, mask, fins, snorkel, booties).
Students are advised to wait until they are on course before they purchase this gear as there is an equipment lecture. The courses are flexible and will be tailored to each student/group.
Typical Course Schedule:
Logistic's & Punctuality:
The course will run according to the above programme. If for unforeseen circumstances a lecture/pool session/dive is not possible, every effort will be made to make it up as soon as possible. The student is liable for any costs that maybe incurred in making up cancelled dives.
If a student cannot attend a lecture/pool session/dive the Student must notify the Instructor upon registering for the course, so as alternative arrangements can be made. If, subsequently, a lecture/pool session/dive is missed, that missed session must be made up at the Instructors convenience and a fee of up to R100.00 is payable. In the case of a missed dive the Student is liable for any other costs incurred as well.
Qualification is subject to the Student meeting the standards laid down by NAUI and the Instructor.
Punctuality. Students are requested to arrive on time for all lectures and pool sessions, and at least 30 minutes before the designated dive times.
All equipment used on the course is the responsibility of the Student
